Manuel González Evangelista es licenciado en Ciencias Políticas y Sociología y posee el título de Master en Derecho y Economía de la Unión Europea por el Colegio de Europa en Brujas (promoción 2004/05).
Manuel comenzó su experiencia profesional en el mundo de la consultoría, desarrollando proyectos a nivel europeo. En 2006, accedió como técnico de proyectos en la Dirección General de Proyectos Europeos de la Generalitat Valenciana. Entre 2013 y 2016, Manuel fue coordinador de la Oficina Regional de la Comunidad Valenciana en Bruselas, participando activamente en la búsqueda de socios y la creación de consorcios para entidades valencianas.
En 2016 Manuel se trasladó a Alicante, donde trabajó como consultor para la Agencia Europea de Propiedad Intelectual. En mayo de 2017, Manuel entró a formar parte del programa Interact, un consorcio europeo participado por la Universitat de Valencia, encargado de coordinar, facilitar el intercambio de buenas prácticas y la creación de sinergias entre los programas Interreg.

Specialised consultancy work in the area of the Legislative Reform within the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) in Alicante, providing advice and support in the preparation, definition and implementation of projects dealing with the reform of the European Union Trade Marks.
My duties included analytical and advisory tasks: drawing up analyses, and information on policies relevant to implementation of the Legislative Reform at Office level, monitoring of the quality, accuracy and timeliness of operations, and liaising with internal units ensuring the delivery of results.
I was in charge of developing, planning, implementing and following up on programmes and action plans, assisting with work on reporting activities, liaison with experts, preparing statements, presentations, briefs and analysis documents.

For a period of over 2 years I held the position of Coordinator of the Regional Representation of Valencia in Brussels, which involved the promotion of policies of interest to the Valencia Region, nurturing relationships with EU Institutions and regional partners, participating actively in public debates and large-scale presentations, establishing a strategy for defending the regional interests and establishing enhanced dialogues with different stakeholders and networks in Brussels in order to generate trust, awareness and interest in engaging entities (Public Authorities, Research Institutes, Universities) from the Valencia Region in projects and funding opportunities at European level (Climate KIC, EEN, H2020).
My duties included planning and coordinating the work of a team of 10 people, dealing with institutional affairs in Brussels and Valencia, representing the interests of the Regional Government towards different EU Institutions (Parliament, EU Commission and Committee of Regions), enhancing cooperation and fostering relations with Networks of Regions and Permanent Representations, working directly with MEPs and opinion-makers to increase the profile of the Region.

For over six years I have worked within the Regional Government of Valencia as Project Advisor of EU programmes, with responsibility of ensuring a successful implementation of the entire life-cycle of territorial cooperation projects: from assisting partners in the generation, application, assessment, administrative and financial management, to implementation and monitoring of the progress of strategic projects at different stages, establishing regular communication with project partners, National and Regional Ministries, the Committee of Regions and DG Regional and Urban Policy of the European Commission.
In this position I have gained deep knowledge and understanding of Territorial Cooperation Programmes and projects, including management challenges, as well as Extensive knowledge and understanding of EU Regional Policy and regulations, knowledge transfer processes and systems.
These activities were carried out as part of a large multidisciplinary team with the Programme Secretariat and Info Points in Europe, travelling frequently to participate in numerous conferences and seminars across the entire EU. In this period, I have participated as facilitator, trainer or speaker in over 50 events in different languages (English, Spanish, Italian), showing strong intercultural communication. The geographical scope of activities had a special focus on the south of Europe.
I actively participated in planning and coordinating events such as seminars, conferences, hearings and other public relations events, finding venues for external events and developing relations with external participants.
